1969: Footprints on the Moon

JP: Oh the excitement about the Apollo program! On July 20th, Armstrong and Aldrin became the first humans to land on the Moon. My brother, Roger, and I had driven from Cincinnati to Alto Michigan to spend time at our Aunt’s home. We arrived late evening on July 20th. Aunt Eleanor, Uncle Jim and cousins Linda, and Lila were in the living room watching the events unfold on their black and white television!

A Biblical perspective (although I’m pretty certain I was not thinking this at the time!):

The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. (Psalm 19:1)
