The Blessings of Justification

JP: Our Bible study on Wednesday night April 22nd will be from Romans 5:1-11.

Brief notes (also in the PDF linked below):

  1. A key this section (5:1-11) is “Justified” – (Greek: δικαιόω) – in 5:1,9. The meaning of “justify” is to “declare righteous / legally acquit”
  2. Search for “justified” in Romans
  3. Note the structure of this section:
    1. “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have …” (5:1)
    2. “And not only that, but we also … “ (5:3)
    3. “Much more then, having now been justified by His blood .. “ (5:9)
    4. “And not only that, but we also … “ (5:11)

Please read the text in advance. As you read the text, jot down the blessings of justification. Thank the Lord for those blessings!
