This week’s happenings

I was dismayed to see snowflakes this morning! Thankfully nothing is sticking and Spring is not delayed.

Speaking of the dreaded “S” word (snow):

  • A great website about snow is
  • My favorite “snow” verse is: “Benaiah was the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man from Kabzeel, who had done many deeds. He had killed two lion-like heroes of Moab. He also had gone down and killed a lion in the midst of a pit on a snowy day.” (1 Chronicles 11:12)

It was good to see all at church yesterday. Kathee and I were really blessed by the choir and I wanted to thank those from 4BYA who participate in this ministry!

It’s also good to see young adults participating in our church’s candidate process. I encourage you to continue to attend these very important events in the life of our church. Pastor Morrell will be teaching (and answering more questions) this Wednesday night. During this process, the Young Adult Bible study will be in hiatus.

Please be in prayer for Pastor Morrell and Kim. Please also be praying for Chisago Lakes Baptist Church.

I wanted to briefly remind all of two calendar items for this Saturday. As it often happens with busy people, the timing of these events overlap. As you are led of the Lord, participate in one or the other:

I hope to see you this Wednesday. God bless, Jim

Psalm 126:3, The LORD has done great things for us, And we are glad

Pastor Morrell cited Psalm 126:3 in his testimony yesterday!
